The Minister said the 2026 National Housing Program will be officially launched tomorrow under the theme, “A Place of One’s Own, a Beautiful Life.” The program is aimed at improving living standards and providing permanent housing solutions for families in need.
Dr. Ranasinghe noted that the housing construction drive will be implemented across 13 districts, ensuring that the benefits of the program reach communities in multiple parts of the country.
He further emphasized that the initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance access to safe and secure housing while promoting sustainable development within the housing sector.
More details regarding district allocations and beneficiary selection are expected to be announced following the official launch.
