At the time of the accident, there were no passengers on board either bus. However, both drivers sustained injuries in the collision and were admitted to the Panadura Base Hospital, an Ada Derana correspondent reported.
Hospital sources indicated that the condition of one of the drivers is serious.
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Wadduwa Police.
