According to initial reports, the accident occurred when the cab attempted to cross the tracks at the same time the train was approaching. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle, while the train was brought to a halt following the collision.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition has not yet been officially confirmed.
The Railway Department said that the incident may result in delays along the Coastal Railway Line, as operations have been temporarily disrupted while authorities clear the site and conduct preliminary investigations.
