By adhering to internationally recognized safety and service standards, the organization has been able to carry out airport operations with high efficiency and reliability, according to Chief Officer of Airport & Ground Operations, Deepal Pallegangoda.

As a key service provider in Sri Lanka’s aviation industry, SriLankan Airport & Ground Services plays a central role at the country’s main international gateway, Bandaranaike International Airport. The company serves as the primary ground handling provider for both full-service and low-cost carriers, as well as for special category aircraft.
Operational figures reflect the scale of its activities. On average, approximately 5,200 aircraft are handled per month at Bandaranaike International Airport. In addition, around 500,000 pieces of baggage are processed monthly.
In 2025 alone, the total number of passengers handled exceeded 9.9 million, underscoring the significant growth and operational capacity of Sri Lanka’s aviation sector.
