The order was issued by Ruwanthika Marasinghe, Magistrate of the Gangodawila Magistrate’s Court, when the case was taken up before the court today (20).
During the proceedings, the Magistrate instructed the CID to conduct a thorough and expedited inquiry into the matter, amid growing public concern surrounding the contents of the Grade 6 English module. The court emphasized the need for prompt legal action against any individuals found responsible following the investigation.
The case is scheduled to be called again on a future date, pending progress reports from the CID on the ongoing investigation.
