He said the government aims to properly develop the indigenous medical system and identify its unique characteristics in order to integrate them with the tourism industry. According to him, strengthening Ayurveda could play a vital role in expanding Sri Lanka’s tourism sector while preserving the country’s traditional medical heritage.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that integrating indigenous medicine into broader national development strategies would ensure sustainable growth and long-term benefits for both the health and tourism sectors.
