According to the NBRO, the warnings will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. today (15) until 6:00 p.m. tomorrow (16).
A Level 1 (Yellow) landslide early warning has been issued for the Wilgamuwa area in the Matale District.
Meanwhile, a Level 2 (Amber) landslide early warning has been issued for the Nildandahinna and Walapane areas in the Nuwara Eliya District.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and follow instructions issued by local authorities. The NBRO has urged the public to be attentive to early signs of landslides, including cracks in walls or the ground, leaning trees or utility poles, and sudden increases in water levels in streams.
