According to reports, she will undertake a three-day tour of the country and is expected to remain in Sri Lanka until Wednesday.
During her visit, Georgieva is set to hold discussions with government authorities and key stakeholders. She is also expected to directly observe the impact caused by Cyclone Ditva, which recently affected parts of the country.
The visit comes at a significant time as Sri Lanka continues its economic recovery efforts, with ongoing engagement and cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
