According to the Authority, a total of 401,787 international visitors have arrived in the country between January 1 and February 12.
The highest single-day tourist arrival was recorded on February 12, with 12,731 visitors entering the country.
Indian nationals account for the largest number of tourists, with 70,880 arrivals recorded during this period. The United Kingdom follows with 44,053 visitors, while 36,949 tourists arrived from Russia. Additionally, 28,332 German nationals and 22,309 Chinese nationals visited Sri Lanka during the same timeframe.
The SLTDA further noted that a significant number of tourists have also arrived from countries including France, Australia, and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, during the first 12 days of February alone, 124,460 foreign tourists visited the island, reflecting a strong upward trend in Sri Lanka’s tourism sector at the start of 2026.
