Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Lankeshwara said the 2025 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II luxury SUV was one of his long-held personal ambitions.
Lankeshwara is the businessman behind Rathna Sahal and the owner of the Rathna Group of Companies, which operates in several business sectors.
During the same week, he also announced plans to acquire a six- or seven-seater jet aircraft worth several billion rupees. He said the aircraft is intended for commercial business travel, allowing executives to travel overseas and return to Sri Lanka on the same day.
Meanwhile, businessman Dudley Sirisena recently raised concerns over the high-profile import of a Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII, which attracted public attention due to its luxury value and alleged Customs-related issues.
