According to the NBRO, the warnings apply to the Nildandahinna and Walapane Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Nuwara Eliya District, as well as the Pathahewaheta Divisional Secretariat division in the Kandy District.
The NBRO has urged residents in these areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions due to the potential risk of landslides during the warning period. Authorities advise the public to stay alert for signs such as cracks in walls or the ground, sudden water seepage, or unusual sounds, and to follow instructions issued by local officials.
