Mendis, Perera, Shanaka picked in PSL auction

Three Sri Lankan cricketers were among the notable picks at the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) auction, securing lucrative contracts with their respective franchises for the upcoming season.

Wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis emerged as the highest-paid Sri Lankan at this year’s auction after being signed by Peshawar Zalmi for PKR 4.2 crore, approximately LKR 47 million.

Meanwhile, fellow wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Perera was snapped up by HH Kingsmen for PKR 3.1 crore (around LKR 35 million).

All-rounder Dasun Shanaka also found a new home in the PSL, with Lahore Qalandars acquiring his services for PKR 75 lakh, which is approximately LKR 8.4 million.
