According to Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Madhura Seneviratne, the program will award a total of 200 scholarships to students with outstanding Z-scores, enabling them to pursue degree programs of their choice at prestigious international universities.
The initiative is designed to recognize academic excellence and provide talented students with opportunities for higher education on a global platform.
Under the first stage of the program, 32 students have already been selected for foreign university placements.
The Ministry stated that the scholarship scheme reflects the government’s commitment to investing in the country’s brightest students and enhancing access to world-class higher education opportunities.
