The 14th Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held today (9) at the Ministry of Education premises in Isurupaya under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Harini Amarasooriya.
The scholarship programme, jointly organised by the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Education, awarded financial assistance to 300 students who achieved outstanding results at the GCE Ordinary Level examinations in 2020 and 2021.
The initiative aims to support academically talented students from across the country to continue their education and strengthen educational cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.
