According to police, the special traffic plan will remain in effect until 4.00 a.m. the day after tomorrow, in view of the 2026 Kala Pola Exhibition being held in the area.
As part of the arrangement, vehicular movement along Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha—from the Library Roundabout to the Horton Roundabout—has been restricted to a single lane. Vehicles will be permitted to enter and exit Colombo using only this designated lane.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible and to cooperate with traffic police to minimize congestion.
