Discussions focused on further strengthening bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and India, exploring opportunities for growth, and advancing social welfare initiatives beneficial to both countries.
During the meeting, Minister Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s continued support for Sri Lanka, recalling the assistance extended during the recent economic crisis as well as support provided in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah. He emphasized that India will continue to remain a trusted and reliable partner for Sri Lanka.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Minister Jaishankar said:

Spoke about growth opportunities and social welfare initiatives. India has stood by Sri Lanka during the economic crisis and recently, in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah. India will always remain a true and trusted partner for Sri Lanka.”
