According to the police, a quantity of ice, pills and cannabis was found in the student’s possession at the time of arrest. Officers also recovered more than Rs. 50,000 in cash, which is suspected to have been earned through drug trafficking activities.
The arrest was made following a tip-off received by the Moratuwa Police from the University of Moratuwa Security Unit.
Police said investigations are continuing, and no information has yet been revealed regarding how the suspect obtained the drugs.
