The protest, which was launched to demand solutions to several employment-related issues, was called off after discussions were held with the President earlier today.
During the meeting, President Dissanayake listened to the concerns raised by the protesters and assured them that their demands would be reviewed and addressed through appropriate administrative measures.
Following the assurances given, the School Development Officers decided to suspend their protest campaign and disperse peacefully from the protest site.
Further discussions are expected to take place with relevant authorities to reach a long-term resolution to the issues raised by the officers.
