The initiative aims to bridge the gap between various private and public early learning centers by introducing a uniform framework for curriculum and administration. Speaking at the Western Provincial Council Auditorium, officials emphasized that the move is designed to ensure no child is left behind due to inconsistent teaching methods.

As a government, it is essential to ensure that the consistency, quality, safety, and overall outcomes of early childhood education are aligned with national education goals," prime minister Harini Amarasuriya noted during the keynote address.
