Special provisions have been introduced to assist students whose Suraksha Sisu Insurance claim documents were destroyed during recent natural disasters, Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation General Limited said.
For incidents that occurred between November 1 and November 26, 2025, benefits will be granted based on recommendations from the school principal and the relevant Grama Niladhari where original entitlement documents have been lost or damaged.
In cases where private hospital bills have been destroyed, certified copies issued by the respective hospitals must be submitted. If diagnostic reports from government hospitals are unavailable, a medical recommendation letter detailing the patient’s information, hospital admission and discharge dates, and the nature of the illness will be accepted.
