The suspects, who were previously remanded in connection with the Trincomalee Buddha statue incident, were produced before court today (02).
The case relates to a complaint filed by the Coast Conservation and Coastal Resource Management Department, alleging that an unauthorized structure was constructed within the coastal protection zone in Trincomalee town and a Buddha statue was installed at the site without approval.
Further proceedings in the case are scheduled to continue on February 9.
