The price of raw ginger in the local market has increased sharply once again, market sources said.
According to traders, the price of a kilogram of raw ginger, which previously stood at around Rs. 500, has now soared to as high as Rs. 2,000.
The sharp increase in prices has been attributed to the destruction of raw ginger plantations caused by adverse weather conditions, resulting in a significant drop in supply to the market.
