The Executive Council of the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) is scheduled to meet again today (31) to decide on future trade union action.
The meeting follows the expiry of the 48-hour deadline given to the Minister of Health to address the issues raised by the association, which ended yesterday.
Speaking at a press conference held in Colombo yesterday, GMOA Assistant Secretary Dr. Hansamal Weerasuriya stated that the Executive Council meeting would determine the next course of action in response to the situation.
