The authority stated that the highest single-day tourist arrival during this period was recorded on January 15, when 10,483 visitors entered the country.
India emerged as the largest source market, with 41,603 tourists arriving in Sri Lanka during the first 25 days. This was followed by the United Kingdom with 23,329 visitors, Russia with 22,876, and Germany with 14,431 tourists.
Tourism officials note that the steady inflow reflects a strong start to the year for Sri Lanka’s tourism sector, signaling continued recovery and growing international interest in the destination.
