The meeting took place at the JVP Head Office in Pelawatte, Battaramulla, where attention was focused on further strengthening the long-standing friendship between Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Discussions were also held on enhancing economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Advisor to the Maldivian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Ali Shareef, and First Secretary Ahmed Aseem were also present at the meeting.
Representing the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, Attorney-at-Law Madhu Kalpana participated in the discussion.
