DIG Senadhira emphasized the urgent need for greater public awareness on road safety, along with stricter enforcement of traffic regulations, to prevent further loss of life.
Police have urged motorists and pedestrians alike to act responsibly on the roads, noting that collective effort is essential to reduce the growing number of fatalities.
