The Attorney General informed the Supreme Court today (26) that orders have been obtained from the Colombo Magistrate’s Court and the Colombo High Court preventing the directors of the local representative company of the Express Pearl vessel from leaving the country.
Additional Solicitor General Nerin Pulle, appearing on behalf of the Attorney General, made this submission when the Fundamental Rights petitions related to the Express Pearl incident were taken up in court today to review the implementation of the court’s previous directives.
