Ministers and diplomats attend “Timeless Bollywood Melodies”

Several prominent Sri Lankan political figures attended the live music concert “Timeless Bollywood Melodies – Anuradha Paudwal Live in Colombo”, held at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre in celebration of India’s 77th Republic Day.

Among those present were Minister Nalinda Jayatissa, Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe, and Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) General Secretary Tilvin Silva. The event drew a large audience of music lovers and dignitaries, highlighting the long-standing cultural ties between Sri Lanka and India.

Legendary Indian playback singer Anuradha Paudwal captivated the audience with a selection of classic Bollywood melodies, creating an evening of nostalgia and celebration. The concert was organised as part of commemorative events marking India’s Republic Day, promoting cultural exchange and friendship between the two nations.
