Sri Lanka to face England in first ODI at R. Premadasa stadium tomorrow (22)

The first One Day International (ODI) match of the Sri Lanka–England series is scheduled to begin tomorrow at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

Charith Asalanka has been appointed as the captain of the Sri Lankan team for this series.

The Sri Lanka ODI squad includes:

Pathum Nissanka, Kamil Mishara, Kusal Mendis, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Pawan Rathnayake, Dhananjaya de Silva, Janith Liyanage, Kamindu Mendis, Dunith Wellalage, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jeffrey Vandersay, Maheesh Theekshana, Milan Rathnayake, Asitha Fernando, Pramod Madushan, and Eshan Malinga.

Meanwhile, as Sri Lanka is set to host matches of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, preparations for the opening ceremony are currently underway. Sri Lanka Army Parachute Regiment personnel carried out their training sessions today at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo as part of these preparations.
