The International Cricket Council arrived at a final decision on Bangladesh's participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup on Wednesday (21 January), voting to replace them with another team if they stuck to their current stance.

This was after a board meeting attended by the governing body's top brass, except chairman Jay Shah, as well as the directors of all Full Member nations in which a majority voted in favour of replacing Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board, whose president Aminul Islam Bulbul was also in attendance in the meeting, has been given one more day to reconsider its stance.

Scotland is likely to replace the Bangla Tigers, being the highest-ranked side outside the qualified teams, if the current situation persists.
