Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya participated in a series of high-level bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters.
During the visit, the Prime Minister held a productive meeting with Mr. Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, focusing on strengthening Sri Lanka–EU cooperation and advancing shared strategic interests.
Dr. Amarasuriya also met with Mr. Masato Kanda, President and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), at the WEF Congress Centre, discussing ongoing engagement and future collaboration between Sri Lanka and the ADB.
In addition, the Prime Minister explored potential opportunities in aviation services and connectivity during discussions with Mr. Hassan El Houry, Chairman of Menzies Aviation.
As part of the WEF engagements, Dr. Amarasuriya participated in a high-level dialogue at the Global Tourism Forum held at the Euronews Hub, Piz Buin, highlighting Sri Lanka’s tourism potential on the international stage.
Minister of Labour Dr. Anil Jayantha and the Deputy Minister of Finance accompanied the Prime Minister during these meetings.
