Divers and Navy lifeguards have launched a search operation in the Kalu River following reports that a 32-year-old accountant may have jumped from the Kalutara Bridge.
According to the Kalutara South Police, the operation began after a tip-off from a woman resident of Kalutara North. Police confirmed that the accountant was reported missing, and his mobile phone was found on the bridge.
CCTV footage from a nearby shop reportedly shows the accountant walking toward the bridge prior to his disappearance. The search operation is ongoing.
