
SLNS Suranimila commanded by Captain Senaka Wahala arrived in Maldives on 16th January to participate in the Trilateral Maritime Exercise DOSTI XVII 2026 hosted by the Maldives National Defence Force with the participation of Sri Lanka, India and Maldives from 17th 19th January.

Addressing the gathering, High Commissioner expressed sincere thanks to Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph and Captain Senaka Wahala for the invitation extended to the reception.

While congratulating on the successful conclusion of the Trilateral Exercise, he stated that this Exercise is a testament to close cooperation, friendship and shared commitment by India, Maldives and Sri Lanka to protect our seas from threats posed by maritime crimes and maritime disasters and also to ensure regional stability.

The Reception was attended by senior officials of the Maldives National Defence Force, officers of Indian navy and Maldives Coast Guard, Maldives Government officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps and staff of the High Commission.
