An official online portal for the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ National Programme was launched on January 13, 2026, at the inaugural ceremony held at the Lotus Hall of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

The website, www.rebuildingsrilanka.gov.lk has been developed following a joint proposal by MIT and Dialog, which also undertook its design and implementation.

The portal aims to create a structured, transparent, and credible platform that connects the public, private sector, and international community to support Sri Lanka’s recovery and rebuilding efforts following the national crisis.

Through the platform, local and international donors can make financial contributions, as well as donate materials, land, and other resources. The website also allows donors to monitor their contributions in real time, with updates on financial donations to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund provided regularly.

In addition, the portal offers continuous access to information on district-wise damage assessments, reconstruction projects funded by donations, progress updates, and official announcements, promoting accountability and transparency in government initiatives.

Built on the principles of transparent donation management, social justice, sustainable development, and responsible governance, the initiative seeks to strengthen the country’s infrastructure, economy, and livelihoods.

Accordingly, www.rebuildingsrilanka.gov.lk will serve as the central and reliable information hub for the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ National Programme.
