According to reports, the door near the driver’s seat was open while the bus was in motion. When the driver attempted to close the door, he lost control of the vehicle. The bus then collided with an embankment and overturned on the road.
The driver died on the spot as a result of the accident.
Three other passengers were injured and admitted to hospital. Among the injured are the bus conductor, a young child, and a woman, police added.
Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
