The Pulathisi Intercity Express train service will also resume from January 20.

Accordingly, the train will depart Colombo Fort at 3:15 p.m. to Batticaloa, while the Udaya Devi Express will leave at 6:00 a.m.

On January 21, the Pulathisi Express will depart Batticaloa at 1:30 a.m. to Colombo Fort, and the Udaya Devi Express will leave Batticaloa at 6:10 a.m.

With these services, train operations on the eastern line are expected to return to normal.

Meanwhile, restoration work on the Northern Railway Line, which was also damaged by the cyclone, is set to begin with financial assistance from the Indian Government.

Until further notice, train services from Colombo Fort will operate only up to Mahawa.

Additionally, from January 18 to January 26, train services will operate only between Anuradhapura and Kankesanthurai.
