A group of detainees who climbed onto the rooftop of the ‘D Ward’ at Boossa Prison and engaged in unruly behaviour has been brought under control, according to the Prisons Spokesman.
The incident, which involved several inmates causing damage to prison property while refusing to comply with prison authorities. Security personnel and prison officials were deployed to the scene to restore order.
The Prisons Spokesman confirmed that the situation was fully contained a short while ago and that no serious injuries were reported. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the disturbance and to assess the extent of the damage.
