The special significance of this year’s tour is that it marks the revival of the major cycling race after a 21-year gap.
The first day’s program will begin at 9.00 a.m. from the Lake House premises in Colombo, with a symbolic free ride up to Peliyagoda. The official race will start from Peliyagoda and cover a distance of 105 kilometers, concluding around 12.30 p.m. in Gannoruwa, Kandy.
The second stage of the race will take place from Kandy to Anuradhapura, covering a distance of 135.5 kilometers.
The final stage will run from Anuradhapura to Colombo via Puttalam Road, spanning 208 kilometers, and will conclude near Independence Square, Colombo 07.
The prize-giving ceremony is scheduled to be held on the 18th at 4.30 p.m.
