Professor Silva, who previously served as a senior lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Colombo, has also held the position of former Director General of the Hotel School.
The handover ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Gangaramadhipathi Venerable Poojya Kirinde Assaji Swamiji and Venerable Poojya Agalakada Sirisumana Swamiji.
