The Mawbima Janatha Party office located in the Thawadi area of Jaffna was set on fire by unidentified individuals last night.
The arson attack occurred at approximately 12.50 a.m. at the residence and building used as the party office of Arun Siddharth, the Jaffna District Chief Organizer of the Mawbima Janatha Party.
According to initial investigations, two individuals were captured on CCTV footage pouring petrol near the entrance of the building before setting it ablaze. The fire caused partial damage to the building.
The Jaffna Police have launched further investigations into the incident, and inquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible for the attack.
