In addition to the formal talks, Wang Yi joined Minister Herath on a brief excursion to experience Sri Lanka’s natural beauty. Expressing his admiration, the Chinese Foreign Minister described Sri Lanka as “a truly safe and beautiful destination,” highlighting the island’s attractiveness for international visitors.
He noted that his visit sends a strong message to the global community about Sri Lanka’s security, stability, and tourism potential.
Following the engagements, Wang Yi and his delegation departed from Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake on a special flight bound for Beijing.
