Sri Lanka secured a thrilling 14-run victory over touring Pakistan in the final T20 International played in Dambulla on Sunday (11), leveling the three-match series 1-1.

Chasing a target of 161 runs in a rain-reduced 12-over match, Pakistan managed to score only 146 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Pakistan skipper Salman Agha gave his team a flying start with a blistering 45 off just 12 balls. He was supported by Mohammad Nawaz, who scored 28 off 15 balls, and Khawaja Nafe, who added 26 runs from 15 deliveries.

Sri Lanka’s bowling attack was led by Wanindu Hasaranga, who delivered an outstanding spell, taking 4 wickets for 35 runs in his three overs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka, batting first, posted 160 runs for six wickets in their 12 overs.

The match, which was delayed due to rain, began at 9:20 p.m., with each innings restricted to 12 overs.

With the series on the line, the victory was crucial for Sri Lanka to avoid a series defeat.
