Accordingly, motorists can use the route from the Kadawatha town traffic light junction through the expressway access road to the Aldeniya traffic light junction as an alternative route.
The traffic diversion has been implemented as one lane of the Colombo–Kandy main road is closed at the Bandarawatta–Puwakpitiya section to facilitate construction work on the Kadawatha–Mirigama Expressway Interchange.
Police stated that the lane closure will remain in effect until 15 March this year.
