According to the NBRO, the warning will be in effect from 4.00 p.m. today (10) until 4.00 p.m. tomorrow (11). The advisory has been issued for the following Divisional Secretariat areas:
Badulla District: Badulla, Hali-Ela, Passara, Lunugala, Welimada, Meegahakivula, Kandaketiya and Uva Paranagama
Matale District: Ambanganga Korale, Ukuwela, Laggala Pallegama, Rattota, Wilgamuwa
Kandy District: Minipe and Ududumbara
Nuwara Eliya District: Nildandahena, Walapane, Mathurata and Hanguranketha
The NBRO has advised the public in these areas to be alert to potential landslide risks and to take necessary precautions during the warning period.
