The directive was issued through a circular addressed to Ministry Secretaries, Provincial Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and Heads of State Corporations and Statutory Boards.
According to the circular, Ramadan this year is scheduled to be observed from 19 February to 21 March, and relevant institutions have been advised to organize duty schedules that allow Muslim officers to perform their religious rites during this period.
The Ministry further emphasized that the approval of special leave should be granted only in unavoidable circumstances, encouraging institutions to manage staff requirements through adjusted work shifts instead.
In addition, the circular instructs authorities to make necessary arrangements to provide festival advances to eligible Muslim public servants, including those in state corporations and statutory boards, 14 days prior to the end of Ramadan.
The Ministry stated that these measures are aimed at supporting religious observance while ensuring the continued efficiency of public service operations.
