Rural communities deserve better living standards – President

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said rural communities deserve far better living conditions, noting that many families still struggle to afford proper meals and decent housing.
He stressed the need to build a country where all citizens can live with dignity throughout their lives, adding that strengthening both the economy and social welfare remains a key priority of the Government.
