The second T20 International match of the three-match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was called off due to persistent rain at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium today.

Continuous rainfall delayed the toss, and heavy showers throughout the evening made it impossible for play to begin. As a result, match officials decided to abandon the fixture without a ball being bowled.

The third and final T20I of the series is scheduled to be played on Sunday, 11 January, at the same venue, weather permitting.

The three-match T20I series is being held as part of the teams’ preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, which is set to begin on 7 February and will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India.
