The first phase of the first school term for government and government-approved private schools comes to an end today.Meanwhile, the Department of Examinations has confirmed that the Advanced Level (A/L) examination subjects that were postponed due to the recent disaster situation will be conducted from the 12th to the 20th of this month.
These examinations will be held at 2,086 examination centers across the island.
The Department further stated that candidates who have lost their National Identity Cards (NIC) due to the disaster will be allowed to sit for the examinations using a temporary identity document.
For school candidates, this document must be certified by the respective school principal, while private candidates must obtain certification from their Divisional Secretary.
Authorities have urged all candidates to make the necessary arrangements in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the examination period.
