General Upendra Dwivedi visits Army War College

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi paid an official visit to the Army War College in Buttala today.

Upon arrival, he was received by the Commandant of the Army War College, Major General D.K.R.N. Silva.

During the visit, General Dwivedi laid the foundation stone for the Indo–Lanka Sports Complex, which is to be constructed with Indian assistance. The initiative reflects the strong and longstanding cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.

As a further symbol of bilateral friendship and collaboration, the Indian Army Commander donated an ambulance to the Army War College. He also interacted with the student officers, sharing insights and engaging in discussions.

Senior officers of the Army War College and several other distinguished invitees were present at the occasion.
