The contents, wording, and directives included in the message are unauthorised and misleading, and the public is strongly advised not to treat it as an official police communication.
Sri Lanka Police reaffirm their full commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of all citizens across the country.
The public is urged to verify information before sharing messages, particularly those that claim to originate from government institutions.

- Recognised media institutions
Police warn that the dissemination of unverified or false information can create unnecessary fear and may disrupt public order.
